Peyia
Peyia is located in the foothills of the mountains overlooking Paphos and Coral Bay. It is a beautiful and tranquil area which combine spectacular mountain and coastal views with traditional Cypriot life.
The hills and fields around Peyia are still used for farming and you can often hear the bells of the local mountain goats as they playfully frolic through the meadows and rock outcrops. Towards the coast at Coral bay you’ll find banana plantations and orange groves which scent the air with natural fragrance.
The village of Peyia is dominated by the ancient church in the centre of the square. Here the locals gather for joyous events such as weddings and celebrations, making there way to the church through the narrow winding streets surrounded by traditional buildings and gardens with a bountiful supply of figs and lemons.
Peyia also has a number of good local shops, a bank as well as a number of excellent local tavernas providing traditional Cypriot fare. The holiday villa is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Peyia village.
